FORTHCOMING TRIPS ON THE COSTA BLANCA

Valencia or Valencia Bioparc         Saturday 12th January

A chance to visit the wonderful city of Valencia, the home of Paella! The centre itself is compact which is perfect for exploring.  There is a brand new Primark , which is the 2nd largest in the whole of Spain next to the Bull Ring, and also some great shopping. Or you can spend the day at the Bioparc, rated  in the top 10 zoos in the world!! We will be arriving approx 11am  and leaving at 5pm. Choose from 4 drop off points: City of Art & Sciences, Torres de Serranos for the old town, Calle Colon for all the shops or Bioparc

Santa Pola and Island of Tabarca       Saturday 19th January

Spend the day in Santa Pola from where you can take a boat ride in a glass bottomed catamaran over to the scenic island of Tabarca for an explore and a spot of lunch. It's the only inhabited island in this region with shops and restaurants. We will arrive approx 11.15 and depart approx 16.45

Villajoyosa and Altea Old Town     Wednesday 23rd January

Spend a couple of hours in the lovely town of Villajoyosa, famous for it's chocolate factory. And then on to the picturesque old town of Altea, with it's boutiques and restaurants and iconic church, where you have 2.5 hours to explore or have lunch.

Guadalest & Algar Falls            Wednesday 6th February

2 stunning places in 1 day! Spend an hour and a half at the Algar Falls before moving on to beautiful medieval Guadalest, reputedly the most visited village in Spain! Stroll through the traffic free streets up through a tunnel to Plaza de Castillo, where you will be rewarded with truly lovely views!

Sagunt and an Underground Boat Ride in the Sant Josep Caves       Saturday 9thFebruary 

An interesting day trip firstly to Sant Josep caves for a 40 minute boat ride on the longest underground river in Europe! The temperature throughout the year is a constant 20 degrees. And then it’s off to  Sagunt, with it’s wealth of  history dating back 2000 years. During it’s Roman period, it was besieged by Hannibal and there are castle ruins and a Roman Amphitheatre to explore.

Benidorm Palace for the Magic of Motown Show, or afternoon in Benidorm           Sunday 17th February 

This show has been seen by more than 1 million people, worldwide! If you love music, you'll love this! Benidorm Place still have tickets available for the afternoon performance.  Or you can be dropped off at Plaza Triangular by the old town and seafront, if you fancy an afternoon in Benidorm. We arrive at 14.00 and leave at 17.30 (after the show.)

Cartagena and Scenic Train Ride             Tuesday 19thFebruary 

There’s much to see and do in the lovely town of Cartagena, famous for it’s Roman History.  Lots of museums as well as a Roman Amphitheatre and Castle to see. The town centre itself is mostly traffic free and is a pleasure to explore. We start the day off with a 30 minute scenic train ride to arrive in Cartagena and then you have free time to explore.

Valencia Fallas Fiesta– Offering of the Flowers     Monday 18thMarch

A wonderful day to visit Valencia. Las Fallas is one of the best Fiestas in the whole of Spain and this is one of the best days to visit! You’ll be able to witness the Mascleta at 14.00, when the whole city vibrates to this amazing noisy spectacle! You will  have time to explore Valencia and see the incredible Fallas that are all over the city centre. Then at 16.00, the beautiful ceremony of the Offering of the Flowers, where ladies in their colourful traditional dresses present flowers which are used to build a 15 metre high tapestry of the Virgin Mary in the Plaza de la Virgen. It’s something to behold! We will be arriving approx 13.00  and leaving at 19.00.

Valencia Fallas Fiesta Finale! La Crema/Burnings      Tuesday 19thMarch

Be there for the spectacular last night of  Las Fallas - one of the top  Fiestas in the whole of Spain!    You arrive early evening and you’ll be able to see the amazing Fallas throughout the city centre . They have taken a year to design and build and you will witness them burn!  It’s the best night of the year in Valencia, the culmination of which is an incredible firework display. We will be arriving approx 19.00  and leaving after the fireworks. It’s late, but it’s only once a year!

Alcala del Jucar and River Cruise       Saturday 23rd March

 This will be a memorable day out! The cave village of Alcala del Jucar is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. It’s on a hillside overlooking the Jucar River and a gorge and on top of the hill is a castle. Stunning!  And then it’s off  for  a relaxing 1 ½ hour cruise along the River Jucar and it’s canyons.
