Calpe Promenade Bowls Club

Calpe Promenade Bowls club is located on Calpe sea front of Playa Levante situated between the Eden Bar and Bar 78. It is a very friendly club with an increasing number of members of all nationalities, and always welcomes new members of all ages.

Where can you play bowls in the sunshine, hear the sound of the sea, with Calpe rock looking over and play a game of bowls with a very friendly group of bowlers  -  the answer is on Calpe sea front at Calpe Promenade Bowls Club!

For those that have never played before the Club offers a free taster morning. All they ask is that you wear flat shoes and bowls can be provided. 

If you have played before, then you are also very welcome to go along and have a roll up with the Club. Again they can provide bowls and ask that you wear flat shoes on the green.  

Club Times

Calpe Promenade Bowls Club play on a Sunday, Tuesday and Friday mornings - arriving at 9.30 to start play at 10 am. Whilst the club members are playing, you are welcome to just come along and talk to them, and they will be only to happy to help with any questions.  

As is always customary after the game they go for a coffee and a chat at one of the many bars on the sea front.   

League & Competitions

Calpe Promenade also play in the Costa Blanca Northern League, they have internal competitions and once a year they have our own Triples competition where most clubs come and compete together. They also have visiting clubs from Spain and also the UK.

Playing Bowls on Holiday

If you are already a member of a bowls club in the UK and you are on holiday, why not suggest on your return that a group of bowlers come and have a long weekend in Calpe and play on their green,  either between yourselves or a friendly game with their club.  

Events during the Year

Last year Calpe Promenade Bowls Club had a great time at their Christmas Dinner in December and only recently we held a Valentines Day game where players wore red and white.   A good time was had by all!

Annual Dinner & Dance

Calpe Promenade Bowls Club held their annual dinner and dance on Friday to award players who had won a trophy in our internal competitions.
