Arenal-Bol is one of Calpe’s two principal sandy beaches and the most convenient choice for visitors staying near the town centre.
The beach stretches for approximately 1,200 metres and has fine golden sand, generally calm water and views towards the Peñón de Ifach. Its central location means visitors can combine time on the beach with restaurants, shopping, the promenade and a visit to Calpe Old Town.
Unlike Calpe’s smaller natural coves, Arenal-Bol is an urban beach with a wide range of seasonal services. This makes it particularly suitable for families, visitors with reduced mobility and anyone who wants facilities close at hand.

Some services, particularly lifeguards, assisted bathing, sunbeds and water sports, operate seasonally. Visitors should not assume that every facility will be available outside the main summer period.

Calm-looking water does not guarantee safe swimming conditions. Families should continue supervising children even when lifeguards are present.

The currently published accessible-bathing period is 1 July to 30 September, from 11:00 until 19:00. An appointment is required by calling 687 255 974.
Dates, times and booking arrangements can change, so visitors should confirm the service before travelling. The presence of accessible equipment does not mean every approach, pavement or nearby parking space will always be unobstructed.
Arenal-Bol is bordered by the Paseo Marítimo Infanta Elena, making it easy to combine a beach visit with a walk along the seafront.
The promenade has restaurants, cafés, ice-cream shops, hotels and other businesses. It is useful for families who want refreshments and facilities without travelling far from the beach.
Walking east along the seafront leads towards Cala Morelló, the Baños de la Reina archaeological area, Cantal Roig, Calpe’s fishing port and the Peñón de Ifach.
The promenade is generally level, although individual routes connecting it with surrounding streets can vary in gradient and accessibility.
Arenal-Bol’s central position means there are street-parking spaces, regulated areas and public parking options within walking distance. However, the closest spaces fill quickly during July, August, weekends and major fiestas.

Arenal-Bol is not Calpe’s designated dog beach. Dogs should not be taken onto the sand unless current signs and municipal rules expressly permit them.
