6:30pm - Presentation of Xàbia, mirades amables: una visión antropológica de J.F. Erades at the Duanes Library, presented by Álvaro Monfort, President of the Mare de Déu de Loreto Festival Committee.

Saturday 29 August 2026
5:00pm-7:00pm – XLIV Peña La Bufa Cycling Trophy. Start and finish on Calle Garcilaso de la Vega, Duanes de la Mar.
10:30pm - Official presentation of the Mayorales and Mayoralesas on Avenida de Lepanto, marking the beginning of the Mare de Déu de Loreto festivities, followed by live music.

10:00am - XLIII Peña La Bufa Popular Race, starting from La Caleta at Cala Blanca. Registration is free on the day at the starting line.

The official calendar says the wider festivities will also include Bous a la Mar, processions, parade floats, verbenas and street parades, so there are almost certainly more events still to be added to the detailed programme.
