This 2027 Moraira Fiesta, Festa del Moscatel, is a special celebration for the farmers, at the completion of their harvest and the collection of the Moscatel grape which is sent to markets nationwide. The fiesta has been celebrated for more than 30 years. The Festa del Moscatel is a nighttime fiesta, involving the tasting of the Moscatel. There will be various different activities centred around wine and gastronomy.
All programmed events are free, open to the public, and include events such as dances, tastings, competitions, photographic exhibitions, and screenings of short films.
Whilst details for the 2027 programme are not yet released, here is the 2026 information for reference
09:00 - Meet at the start of the Font de l'Horta river path, followed by a traditional cart ride to the Riurau del Bancal Roig, where the grapes will be prepared for the day's celebrations.
10:00 - Popular community breakfast.
11:00 - Traditional escaldà demonstration at the Riurau del Bancal Roig, showcasing the historic method of scalding Moscatel grapes before drying.
19:00 - Cavalcada del Moscatell procession, with traditional carts travelling from Avenida Santa Catalina towards the Glorieta de la Ermita de Sant Vicent Ferrer.
From 19:00 - Celebrations continue along Avenida de Las Palmas, including:
From 20:00 - Local wine tasting and popular community dinner, accompanied by live music.
From 23:00 - Evening verbena and dancing on Avenida de Las Palmas.
A Moscatel-themed photography competition will also take place from 17th - 27th August 2026.
