Fiestas in Calpe: Moors & Christians (October 2025)

Friday 17 October

13:00   Opening of Fiesta with bell ringing and ceremonial gunfire

18:30  "Entrada de bandas". Music is playing from Plaza Colón to the Plaza del Mosquit.

19:30 Parade of each Fila from their Kabila to the Plaza Mayor and Proclamation of the Fiestas.
20:00   Proclamation of the Fiesta and Raising of Banners in the Plaza Mayor. At the end of the Proclamation, Offering of candles to the patron saint "Santíssim Crist de la Suor" in the Iglesia Virgen de las Nieves.

00:30 – 01:00 | Street Parade
Parade, and at the end, all marching bands will play a Moorish march and a Christian march simultaneously at Plaza del Mosquit.

01:00 – 02:30 | Christian Captaincy Ball – Filà Mozárabes

Saturday 18 October

09:30. Cristians and Moors dance starting in the Plaza Mosquit & breakfast

18:30   “El desfile” Moors and Christians Main Parade at the Avenida Gabriel Miró. This is the 3 hour spectactular parade through the streets of Calpe.

Sunday 19 October

10:15   Christian Side Gathering - Playa del Mosquit

10:45 Landing and First Battle at the Arenal-Bol beach.

19:00   Children's Moors & Christians parade at the Avenida Gabriel Miró.

01:00 – 03:00 | Moorish Captaincy Ball – Filà Tuareg

Monday 20 October

23:00 – 23:30 | Fire Run (Correfocs)

Tuesday 21 October:

20:30   Parliament, Speech, Second Battle and “Miracle” at Plaza Mayor.

01:00 Standard Bearers Ball

Wednesday 22 October:

11:15 – 12:00 | Festival Participants Gathering – Plaza del Mosquit

12:00   Solemn mass to honour the Santíssim Crist de la Sour at the Plaza Mayor. After the mass, Mascletà / firecrackers at the Plaza Mayor and transfer of the Cristo to the Iglesia Virgen de las Nieves.

19:30 – 20:00 | Festival Participants Gathering – Plaza del Mosquit

20:00 Solemn Procession in the Old Town followed by "Mascletà Nocturna" in the Plaza Mayor.
