What is Santa Semana?

Santa Semana (or Holy Week) is the name for Easter Week in Spain. This is a culturally and religiously important event, celebrated across Spain with processions that depict "The Passion of the Christ".

SATURDAY 30 March HOLY SATURDAY

-09.00 Prayer with Mary in her solitude. Second day Novena to Divine Mercy.

-22.00 Easter Vigil, in the Church. Celebration of Easter.

SUNDAY 31 March EASTER SUNDAY

-09.00 Holy Mass.

-11.00 Concentration of the Plaza de San Salvador for the encounter of the Risen Lord with the Virgin. Then, procession to the church and celebration of the Holy Mass of Resurrection.
