The Virgen de las Nieves is a Fiesta in Calpe, Spain, that involves the offering of flowers, a mass, and a procession, all in honour of the Virgen de las Nieves. The fiesta also includes open-air balls, a firework display, a parade (with floats and costumes), and bull running.

During the Calpe fiesta, Vigen de las Nieves, Calpe becomes all fireworks and gun powder. It’s about festivals and tradition, culture and art. Fireworks will illuminate the city during the Virgen de las Nieves as Calpe lives and breathes its festivals.
The Virgen de las Nieves is organised by the Festivals Committee to honour the patron saint of Calpe, the Virgen de las Nieves. The main emblems of the festival are the queen and her courts, made up by four generations: children, juniors, adults and elders. This fiesta has been celebrated in Calpe since 1940.

31 July: Opening The Fiesta
13:00 Bell ringing of church bells and firecrackers set off to our Patron Saint "Virgen de las Nieves".
19:15 "Entrada de la Murta" (a procession down streets strewn with myrtle) accompanied by band music. The route is from the Plaza Arco Iris to Plaza Miguel Roselló.
20:15 "Crida a la Festa" (festival opening speech) by the Queens of the Fiestas from the Town Hall Balcony.
23:30 Musical performance by 'LA FIESTA' en la Plaza Mayor.
1st August: "Día del Fadrí" / Youth Day
8:00 a.m.: "Despertà" Wake up through the different streets of the town
11:00 a.m.: Takeover of the City Hall in the Plaza Miguel Roselló and change of Vara de Mando for the party of 2006 who will govern the streets of the municipality for a day.
12:00h: Gran Glovotà, on Carrer Llibertat, followed by "cucañas" in Carrer de Fora
5:30 p.m.: "Aqua- jocs" - Water Games. At the end of the Foam Party for the little ones, in the Creativity Park
11:30 p.m.: Discomóvil CARNAVALIA, in the Plaza Mayor
2nd August: Children's Day
10:00 am "Despertà" for children (a morning parade through the streets throwing rockets) from the Plaza dels Mariners along several streets of the town.
10:45h: Aqua-jocs -water games. At the end of the foam party for the little ones, in the Creativity Park
7:00 p.m.: Children's musical "La Rosa Encantada" in the Plaza Mayor
10:45 p.m.: Musical "The 40 Principales" in the Plaza Mayor

7:30 p.m: Holy Mass, then Solemn procession to honour Nuestra Señora la Virgen de las Nieves.
11:59 p.m.: Castell a la Mar - Large Firework Display at the beach - amazing aquatic fireworks (event organised by the Town Council of Calp).

6th August: Day of San Salvador
11:00 a.m.: Children's Despertà through the different streets of the Town
11:15 a.m.: Traditional Valencian Pilot Game
7:00 p.m.: Commission's parade and collection of authorities
8:00 p.m.: Holy Mass in the Hermitage of San Salvador
Next, a popular Wine of Honor will be offered
11 August
20:00 Large Fancy Dress Procession (to finish the festival) through the town from the Calle Benissa to the Plaza Colón.
NOTE: From the 6th to the 12th of August, the fiesta's bull running will be taking place.
