Real Club Nautico de Calpe

Real Club Nautico de Calpe is the town's harbour club and marina, offering first-class leisure facilities, a restaurant on the harbour edge, and wonderful views of the Peñón de Ifach.

Calpe marina is located at the foot of the Peñon as is the harbour for the large fleet of fishing boats. The days catch is auctioned every day at 6pm in the “Cofradia”, opposite the fish restaurants in the harbour.

Calpe Harbour is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by.....from morning coffee to evening sunset.

Calpe Fish Auction

Calpe's history and traditions are linked to local fishing with fishing boats arriving into the port in the afternoon. The fish is passed into the Auction building at the port, and the auction is held at the fish market every Monday to Friday at 17:00.

The general public are permitted to enter the Auction building and watch the auction being held.

Afterward head towards one of the many fish restaurants in the harbour of Calpe and enjoy the wonderful choice of fresh seafood.

Dining at Calpe Port

Watching a Calpe sunset from the harbour is a truly wonderful experience, and one not to be missed.

After sunset, enjoy the local gastronomy including fish, seafood and rice dishes, and the traditional Valencian Paella. 

The restaurants in the harbour display a choice of fresh fish platters, and offer a glass of sangria as you view the food on offer.

Paseo Ecologico Principe de Asturias

This walk starts near the fishing port at the cove El Raco, at the foot of the Peñón de Ifach. The "Paseo Ecologico Principe de Asturias" is about one kilometre long, is a wonderful way to appreciate the Ifach with its steep walls, and views across the Mediterranean to Calpe Town and Altea.

The promenade is made of natural stone and alternates between landscaped areas, palm trees, and various plants.

This seafront promenade is wide and pedestrianised, making it perfect for young children.

Beaches at Calpe Port

Cantal Roig is a small sandy beach located next to the fishing port, ideal for children and families. This blue flag beach is 200m long, offers fine sand, calm waters, and numerous bars and restaurants.

El Racó cove is a small pebble beach located at the Northern end of Calpe port, at the foot of the Peñon de Ifach. The Paseo Ecológico Princesa de Asturias ecological trail begins at the beach. The beach is 70m long, and offers calm waters, suitable for diving, snorkelling and fishing.
