Beaches, watersports, and fiestas - Calpe has many activities and excursions catering to all kinds of interests. This article should direct you towards some of the more family-friendly places, businesses, and events.
Las Antipodas Watersports Centre has you covered for your family watersports adventure. Kayaks can be hired for the family, allowing you to reach Calpe's hidden coves and caves. Also, in the summer there is a weekly Kid's Camp programme including Catamaran, Windsurfing and Kayaking.

It wouldn't be a visit to Calpe without a visit to the beach. Calpe has a few options on this front, so you can be sure all your beachy needs will be met by this charming coastal paradise. The Playa de la Fossa/Levante is a popular Calpe beach - a long and sandy stretch with shallow waters and a promenade of restaurants and shops. The Arenal-Bol beach is another popular spot, in the centre of Calpe. It is the ideal spot for enjoying the sun, and has fine golden sand and clear waters. This beach was also awarded the blue flag in 2008. Finally, the Playa Cantal Roig is a smaller, calmer beach located next to the fishing port. Its has numerous nearby restaurants and is a great beach for children.
If enjoying the sea isn't what you're looking for, perhaps you and your family would like to explore the land on horseback. Club Hipico Benissa offer courses for beginners and lesses for children from five years. Alongside teaching, they also offer paths, country walks and tracks to locations like the Peña de Olta, Lleus area, Lliber, Jalon, Gata, Parcent and more, all where you can enjoy the wonderful countryside in and around Calpe.

If you're looking to explore on foot, however, there are many scenic routes to be taken for walkers of all abilities. Treck into the countryside, or stroll along the coastline. You could take a brief saunter along the sea-cliffs, or a day-long hike to the summit of the Penon de Ifach.
